I completed the final draft of The Throne Possessed in mid-March. Currently, my incredible developmental, line and proofreading editor is poring over the novel, working to uncover issues which need to be resolved. The polished manuscript will be ready for beta readers in June.

Then comes the next decision point: to self-publish or traditionally publish…

How soon Book One in Sagas of the Cranath, The Throne Possessed, is published will be determined by this decision. Traditionally published, through one of the major book publishers, typically takes more than a year. While self-publishing which is, as the word implies, where the author goes it alone and does his own post-writing work, can be completed in a much shorter time.

This summer, I plan to submit directly to those few major traditional publishers who accept submittals from the unwashed mass of writers. I will also send queries to agents to see if any are interested in representing my writing to the other major publishers. We shall see how it all unfolds.

Meanwhile, I have started on Book Two. It’s still a very long way off…
