What A Crazy Month It Has Been

A month ago today I finished the first complete draft of The Throne Possessed. Over the past thirty days I’ve been diligently learning how to create a website and then crafting one. I now have a rudimentary knowledge of registering a domain (I used Namecheap), establishing an account with a web hosting company (BlueHost), installing software to build the website (WordPress) along with a multitude of plug-ins (Elementor, etc.).

Oh, and educating myself on how to collect email addresses and send correspondence to you in order to stay connected. If you haven’t already, I hope you will take a moment and signup for my newsletter. I can’t imagine that the newsletter will be sent regularly, but it is the best, and only, way to stay aware of developments in my writing.

Then, of course, the nascent website needs content! I’m most pleased with the shields for the Duchies in the Cranath Kingdom, and for the Kingdom itself. I’m not an artist, yet most of them turned out reasonably nice if I say so myself.

But, what about the story, you ask?! While most of my attention (and feeble mental power) has been consumed by learning and developing this website, the novel has not been neglected!

As mentioned on the main page of this site, my incredible Editor is poring over the manuscript. She is uncovering many developmental, line and proofreading issues which need to be fixed. The Author, yours truly, must correct these mistakes, patch the holes, and smoothen the bumpy, rumpled, and confusing passages. Then the manuscript will be ready for beta readers. With good fortune I will have the polished work ready for beta readers in May.
